170 وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ اتَّبِعُوا مَا أَنزَلَ اللَّهُ قَالُوا بَلْ نَتَّبِعُ مَا أَلْفَيْنَا عَلَيْهِ آبَاءَنَا ۗ أَوَلَوْ كَانَ آبَاؤُهُمْ لَا يَعْقِلُونَ شَيْئًا وَلَا يَهْتَدُونَ ﴿170﴾

التفسير الميسر - مجمع الملك فهد وإذا قال المؤمنون ناصحين أهل الضلال: اتبعوا ما أنزل الله من القرآن والهدى، أصرُّوا على تقليد أسلافهم المشركين قائلين: لا نتبع دينكم، بل نتبع ما وجدنا عليه آباءنا. أيتبعون آباءهم ولو كانوا لا يعقلون عن الله شيئًا، ولا يدركون رشدًا؟

Français - Muhammad Hamidullah Et quand on leur dit: «Suivez ce qu'Allah a fait descendre», ils disent: «Non, mais nous suivrons les coutumes de nos ancêtres.» - Quoi! et si leurs ancêtres n'avaient rien raisonné et s'ils n'avaient pas été dans la bonne direction?

English - Sahih International And when it is said to them, "Follow what Allah has revealed," they say, "Rather, we will follow that which we found our fathers doing." Even though their fathers understood nothing, nor were they guided?
