قلوبهم غافلة عن القرآن الكريم، مشغولة بأباطيل الدنيا وشهواتها، لا يعقلون ما فيه. بل إن الظالمين من قريش اجتمعوا على أمر خَفِيٍّ: وهو إشاعة ما يصدُّون به الناس عن الإيمان بمحمد صلى الله عليه وسلم من أنه بشر مثلهم، لا يختلف عنهم في شيء، وأن ما جاء به من القرآن سحر، فكيف تجيئون إليه وتتبعونه، وأنتم تبصرون أنه بشر مثلكم؟

leurs cœurs distraits; et les injustes tiennent des conversations secrètes et disent: «Ce n'est là qu'un être humain semblable à vous? Allez-vous donc vous adonner à la magie alors que vous voyez clair?»
English - Sahih International
With their hearts distracted. And those who do wrong conceal their private conversation, [saying], "Is this [Prophet] except a human being like you? So would you approach magic while you are aware [of it]?"
