فلما سمع نوح قولهم هذا دعا ربه بقوله: رب إن قومي أصروا على تكذيـبي، فاحكم بيني وبينهم حكمًا تُهلك به مَن جحد توحيدك وكذَّب رسولك، ونجني ومَن معي من المؤمنين مما تعذب به الكافرين.
