فلولا ما تقدَّم له من كثرة العبادة والعمل الصالح قبل وقوعه في بطن الحوت، وتسبيحه، وهو في بطن الحوت بقوله: {لا إِلَهَ إِلا أَنْتَ سُبْحَانَكَ إِنِّي كُنْتُ مِنَ الظَّالِمِينَ (21:87)}، لمكث في بطن الحوت، وصار له قبرًا إلى يوم القيامة.
