فلما وفى نبي الله موسى -عليه السلام- صاحبه المدة عشر سنين، وهي أكمل المدتين، وسار بأهله إلى "مصر" أبصر من جانب الطور نارًا، قال موسى لأهله: تمهلوا وانتظروا إني أبصرت نارًا؛ لعلي آتيكم منها بنبأ، أو آتيكم بشعلة من النار لعلكم تستدفئون بها.

Puis, lorsque Moïse eut accompli la période convenue et qu'il se mit en route avec sa famille, il vit un feu du côté du Mont. Il dit à sa famille: «Demeurez ici. J'ai vu du feu. Peut-être vous en apporterai-je une nouvelle ou un tison de feu afin que vous vous réchauffiez».

And when Moses had completed the term and was traveling with his family, he perceived from the direction of the mount a fire. He said to his family, "Stay here; indeed, I have perceived a fire. Perhaps I will bring you from there [some] information or burning wood from the fire that you may warm yourselves."
