لكي لا تحزنوا على ما فاتكم من الدنيا، ولا تفرحوا بما آتاكم فرحَ بطر وأشر. والله لا يحب كل متكبر بما أوتي من الدنيا فخور به على غيره. هؤلاء المتكبرون هم الذين يبخلون بمالهم، ولا ينفقونه في سبيل الله، ويأمرون الناس بالبخل بتحسينه لهم. ومن يتولَّ عن طاعة الله لا يضر إلا نفسه، ولن يضر الله شيئًا، فإن الله هو الغني عن خلقه، الحميد الذي له كل وصف حسن كامل، وفعل جميل يستحق أن يحمد عليه.

afin que vous ne vous tourmentiez pas au sujet de ce qui vous a échappé, ni n'exultiez pour ce qu'Il vous a donné. Et Allah n'aime point tout présomptueux plein de gloriole.
English - Sahih International
In order that you not despair over what has eluded you and not exult [in pride] over what He has given you. And Allah does not like everyone self-deluded and boastful -
