188 قُل لَّا أَمْلِكُ لِنَفْسِي نَفْعًا وَلَا ضَرًّا إِلَّا مَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ ۚ وَلَوْ كُنتُ أَعْلَمُ الْغَيْبَ لَاسْتَكْثَرْتُ مِنَ الْخَيْرِ وَمَا مَسَّنِيَ السُّوءُ ۚ إِنْ أَنَا إِلَّا نَذِيرٌ وَبَشِيرٌ لِّقَوْمٍ يُؤْمِنُونَ ﴿188﴾

التفسير الميسر - مجمع الملك فهد قل -أيها الرسول-: لا أقدرُ على جَلْبِ خير لنفسي ولا دفع شر يحل بها إلا ما شاء الله، ولو كنت أعلم الغيب لفعلت الأسباب التي أعلم أنها تكثِّر لي المصالح والمنافع، ولاتَّقيتُ ما يكون من الشر قبل أن يقع، ما أنا إلا رسول الله أرسلني إليكم، أخوِّف من عقابه، وأبشر بثوابه قومًا يصدقون بأني رسول الله، ويعملون بشرعه.

Français - Muhammad Hamidullah Dis: «Je ne détiens pour moi-même ni profit ni dommage, sauf ce qu'Allah veut. Et si je connaissais l'Inconnaissable, j'aurais eu des biens en abondance et aucun mal ne m'aurait touché. Je ne suis, pour les gens qui croient, qu'un avertisseur et un annonciateur».

English - Sahih International Say, "I hold not for myself [the power of] benefit or harm, except what Allah has willed. And if I knew the unseen, I could have acquired much wealth, and no harm would have touched me. I am not except a warner and a bringer of good tidings to a people who believe."
