إنَّ ما نزل بالمشركين يومئذ سُنَّة الله في عقاب الطغاة من الأمم السابقة من أمثال فرعون والسابقين له، عندما كذَّبوا رسل الله وجحدوا آياته، فإن الله أنزل بهم عقابه بسبب ذنوبهم. إن الله قوي لا يُقْهر، شديد العقاب لمن عصاه ولم يتب من ذنبه.

Il en fut de même des gens de Pharaon et ceux qui avant eux n'avaient pas cru aux signes (enseignements) d'Allah. Allah les saisit pour leurs péchés. Allah est certes Fort et sévère en punition.
English - Sahih International
[Theirs is] like the custom of the people of Pharaoh and of those before them. They disbelieved in the signs of Allah, so Allah seized them for their sins. Indeed, Allah is Powerful and severe in penalty.
